Amor Ciceronis I have to be completely honest - I think it is a shame that you would think to even MENTION Obama in the same breath as Cicero. The two do not compare. Indeed, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone on the world stage of this generation who has achieved a similar level of spoken prowess as had Cicero by the time he reached the counselship. Churchill would probably be your closest figure for comparison, although only in terms of skill--it would seem their styles were each rather different from the other, based on the historical record and (in Churchill's case) the media we have.

Going farther back (and reaching for a more accurate comparison) I really think you'd do well to associate the Founding/Framing generation's luminaries with Tully.
