I was somewhat shocked at this, for anyone (even anonymous) to suggest that after leaving someone, "try to hurt yourself putting it back together".
I think that "anonymous" made a major typographical error, and meant to say:
"Relationships are like a glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them than try to hurt yourself putting it back together," using the word "than" to compare leaving a person to hurting oneself. The word "then" refers to time, but the word "than" refers to comparisons, and the two words have no connection, at least in English, except for the similarity of spelling.
Two examples: "She left her job at the usual time, and then went to the store on her way home," and "He is more energetic than she is, but she has more charm."		 7/29/2010

Micky all of this maybe true and very helpful but its really difficult. I was due to get married in less than 12 months, and i just cannot switch off everyday i think of her, and wonder what she is up to what she is thinking 2/17/2010
