David There are really four options. The one you aren't mentioning involves lawyers who specialize in these matters. Debtors' right are routinely violated, and the debt collectors can be held liable.

David Why does everyone say that consolidation, counseling, and settlement are the only ways to approach the consumer debt problem? How about hiring a lawyer or using a program based on proven legal debt invalidation strategies. For those already in debt over their head, radical action is called for. I recently discovered a company, The Credit Card Solution, offering a very different approach to debt relief from most of the other "solutions' out there. 11/26/2008
