Mary B. Hall I've heard that Mr. Jordan was planning to change the Bobcat's name. Will I would like to give him something to thank about (The Charlotte Airness) or (The Charlotte JAMS) which is close to his father's name whom he loved dearly. I've always been a huge fun of Micheal, when he stopped playing I stopped watching basket ball. I will start back now. 7/24/2010

What most people around the globe must have thought about Michael Jordan’s amazing skills was that he inherited the skills from his father or at least someone in his family. All of that was wrong. Born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn New York, U.S.A., Michael Jordan was deemed to become a professional basketball player. His father James Jordan and mother Deloris Jordan; as Michael was a toddler he and his family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina. This was just the begging of the legendary Jordan.
Michael Jordan’s athletic career started off when he attended Emsley .A. Laney High-School. Even though Michael’s father was a baseball fan, Michael also had interest in playing basketball. Michael Jordan tried out for a spot on the school’s Varsity Team, but was unlucky enough to make it just because of his short height (5’11). All that did is it motivated Michael to try even harder next time. For the Junior Varsity Team it was not surprising for Michael to make the team considering the amount of effort he put into his work. In the team he was known for being one of the most effective players. He did an astonishing job at playing basketball. Averaging about 20 points per game in his final 2 seasons of basketball in High-School.		 6/9/2010
