Advantages:
Central hub (repeater) increases the distance a signal can travel between devices.
Disadvantages:
More cabling is required in a tree than in other topologies (except mesh).

Star topology: demerits:
1. The hub offer limited numbers of connections. 2. If hub fail entire network is fails.
3.Many star networks require a device at the central point to reboardcost or switch the network traffic.
