Simon Leigh Regarding the AUT boycott of Israel, it is simply due to divide and conquer tactics of Palestinian propaganda mixed with ignorance on the part of self-hating and misguided Jews like Steven Rose. This propaganda brainwashes fools like Steven Rose into aligning themselves with people who have no shared culture, heritage, religion, or nationality, nor any historical claim or tie to Israel but people that hate Jews (like Mr Rose) to such an extent that they would cowardly send their own children to blow themselves up in the hope of also killing a Jew. This propaganda convinces people like Seven Rose to use his position in society to betray his fellow Jews. He says he is a 'Jew by ethnicity' but Jews have much more than ethnicity- they have a cultural, religious and national identity that ties them to Israel just as it did a thousand years before Islam or the Palestinians ever existed. Even their name ‘Palestinian’- used under the British Mandate to refer to both Jews and Muslims in the region conveys this lack of connection with Israel or any scruple of personal identity. Palestine is a geographical manifestation of anti-Semitism which is fuelled by hatred and ignorance such as that harboured by Steven Rose.

Hitler in January 1930 also decided it was a good idea to boycott Jews, yet because Jews were banned from Universities under the Nazis he boycotted their shops. Steven Rose dont go against your people and repeat history.
Long Live the State of Israel- Stop the boycott!

kuldeep singh what planet have you been on??? israel is the least democratic country that i know. it was illegally created by punishing palestinians for what happened in germany. there are about 5 million refugees living in unbearable conditions since they were driven from their homes. in a democratic country they should be allowed back home and be compensated. there are 60 un resolutions that israel refuses to abide by, israel is an illegal nuclear country, they are building aparthied separeation walls, non jews can't buy land in israel, they are child killers, i can go on and on........ 10/13/2006

Shalom Freedman I think that Steven and Hilary Rose are criminals. They single out Israel for academic boycott, when it is the one democracy in the Middle East, one which has been struggling for its life in a sea of hostility for close to one- hundred years. Darfar, Iran,Syria, Saudi Arabia, the whole Islamic world, China-yes, and the Palestinian Authority are all human rights violators in a way which Israel has never been. 5/28/2006
