J Shellman I think Boston Public hits the nail on the head when it comes to issues with teachers and instruction in the classroom. I am a high school teacher in vocational education trying to teach At-Risk students a trade as well as being asked to boost their academic abilities in math and English. The most recent show (May 5, 2003) was absolutely right on with the emotions and betrayl the teachers feel and the insensitivity portrayed by the prinicipal to get involved and make alternate choices to cutting staff. I could go on much longer, but at best I want you to know that if you continue with the issues in the classroom and the attitudes and difficulties of educating At-Risk students with multi-cultural backgrounds you may effect political change in California. Keep up the good work. The actors in this series are all outstanding. I feel like each of them represent a part of me and what I am going through to stay in education. 5/7/2003
