Irene I'm just glad that Jessica stated the many symptoms that my cat is experiencing at the moment. Definitely vet visit tomorrow! 12/1/2008
Joseph M Sabol Did you actually read this atricle? Read it again slowly... I think you will see that this is a very broad and generalized article. This shows 2 sides of a coin. You are the first and only person to give a negative comment. This article has been published almost 100 times by Vets and others, so obviously there are people who feel this article has some value. Jessica this is a terrible article on feline urinary tract infections. it does not list symptoms - frequent attempts to urinate, blood in urine, not using the litter tray, pain when passing urine.
also, antibiotics are a highly successful treatment and not expensive. i encourage anyone who suspects a urinary tract infection in their cat to see a vet immediately so that treatment may be commenced. do not try to use any herbal remedies on your cat for a urinary tract infection - if you've ever had a urinary tract infection yourself, you'd know how painful it is. this condition needs immediate treatment from a veterinarian.
