DL Resling I find that some of these behaviors I exhibited in the end of my marriage to my ex. I did many of these behaviors because of his mental and threats to physical abuse. I NEVER ever cheated on him, the weight I lost was fear after my fathers quintuple bypass and the suffering he had endured, it shook me into being conscious of my age and condition I was in. I lost a significant amount of weight, and it became a "flag".
As for the lack of sex, I was manhandled to a point of fear and did not want to be around it anymore, I avoided the bed when he was in it, cried often at night. ALONE in the den of our house while the children slept and my husband slept in our bed. I tried to keep it going, but fear mongering kept me distant. I escaped at last when the threats became too much. Today my ex denies all his misbehavior and has sited these behaviors as evidence that there "must" have been someone else. As for the money spent, it was called caring and raising our four children. He never saw them as necessary expenses. so.. I am challenging your perceptions of these being undeniable signs that someone is not being honest.. it sometimes is not the duck it looks like and quacks like. I imagine it would have been much easier for me had I someone to share the fear for our lives.. but my urge not to complicate a bad situation with any others out of reverence for the vows we took, I was faithful for the duration and NEVER cheated. Even moving on, I had trouble with that due to my strength of commitment. The difficulty in proving innocence in this skeptical society, muchless in proving mental abuse, is incredible. The bottom line is only a point... there is much between there and reality to be viewed. Many don't do so, or understand what they see before them.. preferring to find others to blame the whole way. sometimes it is what you claim, but even when those checks are made, many of them may be for other reasons, that the "victim" of the supposed behavior of their spouse has incurred upon him or herself through behaviors they are denying they are exhibiting. I can go on, but I know I have too long already.. just apply all (with the exception of gifts and cards that show up, that is) to the fear I touched on, and you might see another place you may wish to explore before accusing another.		 6/18/2010
amber nicole thanks it helped a bunch. ive noticed some of these signs. but what if you dont think they are cheating and then came across this website and noticed some signs. then is it still a possibility that they are cheating? 4/23/2010

heather this is very insightful. i found a used condom in my boyfriends bathroom trash can. i also found alcohol in the kitchen 40 %. extra condoms have been used. also, he told me that he spent the the day "shopping" with one of my girlfriends. he's been cheating on me and i am angry 5/7/2009
