| Anne | Most vets will tell you not to induce vomiting or give a dog laxatives, as with many poisonous substances this will make the problem worse. If you suspect your dog has been poisoned, get it to a vet. Bathing the dog if it has had physical contact with posion could transfer the posion to you - the vet is better equipped and qualified to handle this. Your last paragraph does not make it clear whether you are describing the treatment the vet will administer, or whether you are advocating self-treatment. If it is the latter, the dog may get worse instead of better. | 10/18/2009 |
