Janeen Hi David,
Thanks so much for your comment. I think "dependency" or "necessary for feelings of adequacy" are terms that concern me a little. I believe we learn from every person that we encounter in our lives and that every person we come across has something to teach us. Sometimes they teach us what we want to have in our lives, other times they are there to show us what we do not want in our lives going forward. But I believe each of us are definitely on our own paths. People will constantly come and go in our lives for all different reasons. Quite often the reasons they leave have nothing to do with us personally, it is just simply a direction they need to move for their own spiritual growth. Knowing this, as we have all experienced it, I believe it is most important for us to have our own healthy sense of self-esteem to weather these natural comings and goings.

I hope my article didn't come across as cynical, because that is truly not how I meant it. I believe that having loving and trusting relationships are one of the most important things we experience while on this planet. But dependency on any particular person for your sense of self worth means putting the responsibility of how "you feel" into their hands. To be honest that is a lot of responsibility to be handing over to another. I guess what it basically comes down to is: What if the people I depend on for my "sense of self" are not good people for me to be basing my self worth on? If my parents were abusive or mistreated me, is it because I was born a bad person? If the person I was married to cheats on me or leaves me for their own reasons, should I believe it must have been my fault? I believe it is super important to fill our lives with people we love and can count on but I also believe it is important to remember that regardless of what those people say or do - we know at the core of our being that we are always going to be O.K. and are perfect just as we are. Thanks again for the question.

David Illos Hey Again J. Just read "Law of Attraction Manifestation Exercise #12". Most useful. However if I said that you may be coming too much from personal experience making your philos a little too subjective, what would you respond with. If I said that among humans, dependency is extremely important and necessary for feelings of adequacy to anchor us, what would you say?

Love and purple light, David
