| M Kenney | I'm sorry I have to agree with A French Canadian. There is a lot wrong with this. Too many generalizations and very little research. | 9/25/2011 |
| M Kenney | Acadians are a separate culture from the Quebecois. They speak a different dialect of french and have different traditions and history than the Quebecois. Acadians are the descendants of the Acadians who were deported from Nova Scotia in 1755 and live mostly in the Maritime provinces, Gaspe peninsula, Magdalen Islands and northern Maine. They do not refer themselves as French Canadians but as Acadians. | 9/25/2011 |

| nisy | The information is wrong , The French are very formal at their weddings , lNO Poutine. Meat pie, call tourtiere are serve during Christmas season. If you visit a family you will be offered food and refreshments, it is polite to eat it rather than offend the hostest.. Going out socially for dinner or visiting , fress apprprietly French women are very chic and dress the part. very fashionable. People are well educated specially at the social level . they are also polite. A city like Montreal is very bilingual.. They also have the best Winter Carnaval in Quebec. .\they \lovemusic, dancing singing and:" la Joie de Vive. " |

| nisy | The population of French Canadian in Canada ia more then 6'5 million. The population of the province of Quebec is 6.5 million, but there are many people who live in the rest of the country that afre French decent and speak the language fluently. The percentage is a lot higher than wat you mention. | 3/7/2011 |

| Nicholas PhD. | Very good information. But, please describe more attributes of French culture in Canada. Expand it to music, arts, traditions etc. | 12/1/2009 |
| Suzanne | I am sorry...but I have yet to go to a French Canadian wedding and seeing poutine on the menu. As for the rest of your menu, it may be there for some but not all. All french Canadians are not considered Acadian. You would be Acadian if you were from the M.aritimes musique folklorique’ means folklore music ... As for smoking Gauloises and Gitanes are brnads of cigaretes from France ... not French Canada |
