sourav I think in future submarine and also the aeroplane may be space flight which is controlled by computer internet.this type of protocol is not so far for discovery from today. 7/22/2009
John D Interesting that you said inter-device would affect television, when it seems that television will not be around when inter-device might happen. There are so many other areas of concern (for money) rather than controlling light bulbs and other devices in terms of power on and off. The control aspect that you are not thinking about would be related to profit and not for saving the environment. Of course, if we talk about transportation then the environment comes into play. I don't see anything exciting or futuristic about you article. I can go out and buy a light switch timer now, and I could have bought one twenty years ago, as well. I could probably even hook it up to the internet myself to flick my lights on and off at home, or better yet, why not just buy a remote control! You don't need the Internet or a network of computers in order to have "inter-device" control. I was looking for something enlightening. 4/21/2009
