kayleigh i disagree with the first line of this page! 'dermoid cysts are so not dangerous' well i am 23 and had dermoid cysts on both ovaries when i was 21 and some of my cysts were cancerous but i suppose that's not dangerous? it would be nice for others going through it to not have it sugar coated i'm sure! i have had this problem again and now am going back to hospital to have the other ovary removed so i have early menopause to look forward to! I have no desire to scare people as apparantly only 10% of women experience dermoid cysts on both ovaries and only 1-2% of dermoid cysts are cancerous! guess i've just been really unlucky! 10/1/2009
