Jon It seems you are basically saying that spot reduction exercises will help in that area. I'm specifically talking about the stomach area. You are correct that building muscles up in the stomach area will help shape the abdomen but it won't spot reduce fat. Exercising the other parts of your body will reduce fat in your stomach area just as much as building up muscles in your stomach. There will be no difference. 8/18/2008
