Alex Matthew, you write beautifully, but you are not in tune with the history.
Russians did not come to "help" Germans; they came out of necessity because they were attacked in the first place. Revenge was on their minds, not help. War is not for god loving people. it is a dirty business. Germans should of thought what they started......

Matthew I find it so shocking that the people who came to help did so much harm, It is horrible and sick. The only way war crime's will stop is when peace is in every one's heart and soul. Untill then may we hold all those who have and may fall to the victim's of war crime's in our thoughts so they may not be forgotten. 1/10/2007
Alex Hi, the story must be heard from different sides.
I spoke to former Russian soldiers and, yes, there was rape most often by Asian born troops. I would say that it was horrible, but many of these women are still alive to tell the story compare to the Russian women just simply killed or burned alive.
Concerning VD in Berlin - German solders got infected in Paris and brought VDs home. Russia had no prostitution at the time and actual good knowledge of the VDs. Many Russian officers got VDs in exchange for food and tobacco products. "Clean" German girls were in demand. Every thing could be bought for food. Infected Russians were treated with diesel oil introduced into their ....and they were driven in circles in a truck to prevent them from peeing. They cried that they will never touch another German b......again…..

Arseny I'm sure that the Germans performed these acts against Russian females while they occupied Stalingrad, they just didn't occupy it long enough (due to the Soviets KICKING SOME NAZI ASS) for it to evaluate into something as big. 5/2/2006

Julio Severo Nazis were criminals, sure. Yet, Red soldiers were criminals too. Today Germans condemn Nazis. Now Russians also need clearly to condemn the many evil actions Russian soldiers committed against girls and women. 2/8/2005
