| ian davidson | I feel that mushrooms are an important clue in waking up people from their ego driven life. and give them a chance to reprogram their brain with the truth | 2/4/2011 |
| O.E | In my personal experience with psilocybin at high doses, there are many things you must overcome in your mind to have a wonderful experience. If there is much anxiety existing within yourself (for example; anxiety or panic of death) than it is increased unimaginably. In the midst of a "bad trip" is the only time (again, in my experience) when a person is able to overcome fear... When they reach their breaking point and realize that there is nothing to lose. I do not condone the use of any drugs aside from some "hallucinogenic" substances on a very infrequent basis... And only to be used for the experience itself instead of recreation. Thanks for the read. | 7/28/2010 |
| anonymous | I think experiences like the ones the volunteers experienced only happen to certain people. Drugs like these usually amplify the way the individual is feeling and the effects can be diverse as the person. For example giving shrooms to an agitated and aggressive person will only make him paranoid and/or out of control. Whereas a calm, spiritual and and open person might experience enlightenment and oneness. I just think drugs like these should only be taken if your a generally stable and okay person. Believe me, you give shrooms to a depressed person and your gonna have a miserable, terrified mess on your hands | 7/22/2010 |
| Ro | My Name is Ro...Last year in June 2009 I did shrooms for the first time. The experience was so powerful and intense that I came out a completely transformed and new being after the experience. Never in life have I felt so closes to Nature and The Universe. It was if all the mysteries of the Universe were crystal clear to me. I felt deeply connected to the Divine and the Cosmos. The feeling is so indescribable and amazing. I recommend everyone does it at least once in their lifetime. I am planning a trip asap. The effects of my first trip are still presently effecting me in a powerful way | 4/14/2010 |

| Darren | This seems to be a very one-sided look at this issue. The people tested seem to be in a pleasant state of mind to start with. What would happen on a "bad trip"? What would the effects be? How long would they last? Somehow, I think "patients suffering from cancer-related anxiety or depression" will have a very different experience, increasing their misery. This is a horribly one-sided story. |

| Hal P | I have strong feelings about some "oneness" experiences I had when I was 18 with psilocybin...I am 38 now. My spiritual life is guided by these experiences and I believe there is massive therapeutic value in just such experiences for anyone... | 11/28/2008 |
