i personally think the whole show is biased .if you look back on the jorburg auditions when they were auditioning that guy who is jerry mofokeng"s son,he was treted unfairly as for my opinion he sang well ,but as for the freaken judges no!! i was suprised to see him leave and not move on to the next stage,the judges are sometimes clueless they don"t know what they want.and as for that mouse looking face randall!! he shold just stay at home and rest. |

its time some people got the chip off their shoulders,when ever a white says or does something they shout rascism . but when a non white says or does this its because he was under privaledged, its time some people grew up and learn that not all people have their small minds, these competitions are fair , and the coloured guy should accept he lost like a man and not a squeeling whimp, no wonder they dont have much say in the world . its purely because they cry foul to get something, they dont believe in working for it. so yeah i reckon the chip be quite a load for them because i believe1 million years from now theyll still ride the rascism wagon |

i agree i watched the second one where anke won and clearly poseletso was more talented. however i do believe those who have had their once in a lifetime opportunities stolen from them by the narrow minded public will come out ontop no matter how long it takes look at a british example, lemar, who should have won fame academy but as suggested did not for the same reason yet he is making more than the winner ever will in a lifetime! |

This competition is set up to see who is the most talented singer not to see who we can discriminate the most... This stuff about rigging and racism is a hoax if you are saying Brandon October and Ayanda Nhlangothi got voted off because they are black you are wrong. If the show was racist, they wouldnt have gotten that far in the competition or even in the competition at all.... there a numbers of reasons why they didnt ..... because when they do so well in the competition, people think they dont need to vote as much for that person so in doing so they get less votes and the people that do bad get more because their voters are worried they wont make it... In the U.S. we have had several people get voted off that shouldnt have and they could have won but like I said its the peoples thinking on voting.... |

There was an element of racism in the South African Pop Idol competition. Brandon October was the hot favourite and should have won but I believe the overt racism of a female black judge who was consistently and unfairly racist against good white contestants pissed off the predominantly white audience. I know I was one of them and if it wasn't for her I would have voted for Brandon which I now regret as he was the more talented.By the way the black girl Ayenda was my favourite and was voted off too early but perhaps she was too much of a class act to be a pop idol. |
