Jacquelyn Jones If you don;t own a vista do not purchase one it is very complicated, IMy window xp finally died and I purchase the vista only because I was told that xp was going to be phased out .I'm so disappointed so hold on to xp as hard as you can and pray your employer or school keep xp until it can go no further. And by all means try to locate a vista computer books that can explain those icons.A paper usually would take me an hour or two now I have gradurated to all night. please heed my words. Everyone who got rich off xp will get even richer with visa when in the end there is no choice and the upkeep is expensive also.Thank God my friendcknows how to fix all computer other tha that I would have lost my sanity long ago .Peace out. 9/7/2009
SA The concept that businesses have not migrated to Vista shows that many are doing their homework and testing up front, which is great. Vista is beta quality software at best. And the fact that Microsoft is charging full price for it and will charge full price again for the Windows 7 upgrade (which supposedly will fix all of our problems), should NOT be tolerated. Personally, I ditched Windows completely and migrated to Fedora 10 Linux at home. I've used Red Hat Linux at my business for over 8 years. I am 1000% satisfied and don't have to deal with all of the Windows issues and high cost of Microsoft products, I've saved THOUSANDS. I hope that others will realize this, too.
