Ally Apparently, to get rid of yellow jackets, you should pour boiling water over their nest.

dianna last year i had bell shaped chimes hanging by my front door, i saw wasps coming out of them so i waited till winter an threw it away. NOW they are back and they are all over my door! What do you recommed I do? 4/14/2011

brian mac Yes, good advice. But I use gasoline rather than diesel or kerosene, as its more volatile and gives off stronger fumes. I use a household spray just to keep the insects away from me as I do the deed, and its always worked so far. But I use a tool to get the gas in, a can on a broom handle works fine, rather than getting too close. 1/5/2010
