Abdul Shakka I don't understand where the idea is from. 11,000 years ago the ice age ended, there was no way we ended that, we had nothing to cause it. So if the same thing happened 11,000 years ago and nothing went wrong, why is it necessarily if the Earth heats up a little bit. It is not even heating up drastically, the troposphere actually has no change at all, it is only Earth's surface showing change. 30 years ago scientists thought that the Earth was actually heating up. Make up your mind! I personally do not believe in global warming at all. 2/28/2011

Followyour Nose I personally disagree with the theory of Global Warming. I have no ties with industry at all. Im not so fond of that either. However, the proof that global warming doesn't exist seems to outweigh the proof that it does. This fact is perfectly logical and not far fetched or incorrect at all: If humanity cannot predict tomorrow's weather, how can it predict future climates? This statement is extremely accurate if you ask me. Also, satellite readings of the troposphere show no signs of temperature increase. This level of the atmosphere is the level that should show the biggest signs of global warming. It just seems to me that global warming is a conjure of human imagination. No offense my friend but the fact that these arguments are dumbed down to the extreme, and then argued against simply by saying they are wrong or far fetched with no evidence against them makes me feel like my stand is even more correct. Global warming has no combatant arguments except: "Your wrong!". If proof comes around for global warming (which it is yet to) then I might change my mind. 2/10/2011

Gen Y I can see your viewpoint and I partially agree with it. However, some of the arguments against global warming are (like it or not) quite valid. The truth of the matter is that we cannot predict what the future will bring. And we do not have the technology or the competent knowledge to know what kind of weather Earth is expected to experience in the distant future. Additionally, It's quite possible scientific evidence in the future may prove we aren't experiencing global warming. But it is my humble opinion that we should prepare ourselves to prevent global warming since it is quite likely already occurring. I am a young adult who oneday hopes to have children of my own. And I don't want to see my children grow up in a world that is overheating and dying out because my generation (and the generations preceding my own) chose to neglect the world around them. I use energy efficient bulbs, I take public transport and I recycle - even when it means taking old biscuit boxes and soda bottles out of the rubbish bin. I make a downright nuisance of myself for the sake of recycling! Ask my mother! But these are only small and very simple measures we all can take. And if it means the future generations get to grow up on a clean, healthy planet that is void of global warming, I'd say it's worth it. Wouldn't you? Yet, if global warming isn't happening than it doesn't matter because at least we've come up with solutions for future generations who may face global warming. And the environment will thank us for it, too! Either way, it's a win-win situation when we make the effort to look after our planet. :) 12/30/2010

patosina i agree with this article. Its a fact that carbon dioxide is ruining the ozone layer. And i think anything that we should be told by scientists is something we should take seriously, no matter how silly it sounds. I think we should all just do whats best and follow the rules to help stop global warming. In fact, theres nothing that we would be doing wrong anyways. What about the petition from Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine, currently signed by more than 22,000 scientists, stating that "there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate"

Katelyn I think global warming has not been happening because it is also known as climate change, but the tempature has to get higher. Well there has been proof that the tempatures have been getting lower. From where I live it's May and about 30 degrees, which is not normal. So how can global warming be happening? Typical.

Conveniently, you've glossed over of the importance of water vapor in your global warming scientific research.

Fact: 99% of the air we breathe is: nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (21%).

Fact: Of the remaining 1% - 95% is WATER VAPOR.

So, the greenhouse/global warming argument boils down to 5% of 1%...of these 'contributing elements.'

Fact: Carbon Dioxide (CO2) - the major contributor to greenhouse affect/climate change - accounts for 3% of the above-mentioned 1%.

Human activity is responsible for approx. 5% of the 3% of the 1% of CO2 in the atmosphere - other natural sources (animal exhalation and animal dung account for a vast majority of CO2 - I'm not kidding.

Fact: Global warming scientists absolutely IGNORE the existance of water vapor in their greenhouse calculations.

REL This makes me...what are the words...annoyed? Upset? The second argument, that scientists exaggerate effects of global warming because they receive funds from environmental companies, seems disturbing. I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. I've heard this argument for more than global warming. Anyway, If they are exaggerating the facts, should we even call them scientists? w. Armstrong there are as many scientists that believe that global warming is not caused by man. This is a natural cycle of our planet that has happened many times in the past. There is a 1500year cycle that
is supported by physical evidence. This fact was released in 1996
and was never brought to the publics attention. This one sided claim
about global warming without looking in other aspects by award win-
ning scientists defies common sense. If man is NOT causing global
warming you would think everyone would be very happy. But instead
when any evidence is found against man caused global warming it
is immediately fought against. The only reason I can think of is money,so what goes on here. I feel like there is truth that we are
being denied. I guess that makes me a non believer of man caused
global warming,but I was taught to look at both sides of a problem.
I have looked into this, which took quit a bit of research and time.
i will tell you this, The american people and other people of the

Rogers If we choose to believe in the rational of science than are we not cutting of our nose to spite our face by not investigating all possible avenues. If we are to follow the dogma of science then we can not PROVE that anthropogenic activities of increased CO2 levels are causing Global Warming only disprove other hypothesis till scientists have something we can agree on and in 10, 20 or 100 years time scientists will have found a different explanation. 7/5/2009

1. Even in the arguments you don't remove the "Global Warming is real" twist on things.
2. You claim that the arguments are "factually incorrect or far fetched." however you provide no evidence or reasoning as to why they are far fetched or incorrect.
3. Ah, the "Well, your in the employ of the fossil fuels busyness, so you have an agenda!" argument. Fossil fuel jobs would be lost, but so would jobs in; the glass industry, the steel industry, the electric industries. And you know those computers were writing this on? Yeah we'll have to get rid of those too.
