| S. Gillings | Interesting summary of Jamaica's culture and its people. Do give some thought to reviewing the accuracy of the piece about dress. Robes are not the prefered mode of dress for most Jamaicans. | 1/22/2011 |

| Omar Burris | I want to start off by complimenting you on your well articulate ideas. I am doing a class presentation on the culture and tradition of Jamaica, and I have decided to use your work. I just have to point out a minor error in your work. In the paragraph entitled Jamaican people, last paragraph, you wrote...it's people but it's really its. It's is a contraction for it is, and its is showing possession. I just wanted to point that out. Overall, excellent job! |

| Gerald A. | My grandfather Herbert T. Thomas was a 3rd generation white Jamaican Police Inspector for 47 years. His first wife an English lady he met while on training in the UK, she bore him 6 children 5 boys and one girl all born Jamaicans. All the boys died in WW-1 and his wife Gertrude returned to the UK where she died in 1921. Then he had to face the racist attitudes that prevailed at that time. He was a brave non racist man who crossed the racial divide, after falling in love and marring my black grandmother Leonora Thomas in 1924. This move put his police career on the line, as his white piers were not pleased. Leonora bore him 4 daughters who all survived into their late 80's. My mother was the 3rd eldest, that is why Jamaica will always be to me "OUT of MANY ONE". The true history is now told in my book "A Struggle to walk with Dignity". | 9/12/2010 |
| Gerald A. | Some lost Jamaican History: Did you know that Godfery Main Thomas was the first Jamaican born Officer in the new R.A.F. as a Flight Lieutenant. He was born on Sept. 10th 1895 and died Aug. 24th 1921 aboard Airship R-38 when it exploded over Hull Yorkshire UK. He was also awarded the King's Medal and Derk in WW-1 and a D.F.C. at the end of his life. He is buried at Hull Western Cemetery, his name is inscribed on the British Plaque, Roll of Honor. Jamaican's should be proud of this History. |

| samantha vassel | I am from Jamaica. This information needs to be updated. We do not wear robes most if not all (apart from the national dish) of the information is wrong | 8/4/2010 |
| G. Archambeau | I think your web site of great value to Jamaican's who want to know the truth about their heritage, and tit's diversity "Out of many One". I am the author of "A Struggle to Walk with Dignity"ISBN:978-0-9784982-0-7, 2nd edition. Through research I found much lost JA history that was sent to the UK, of white men who crossed the racial divide like my grandfather Herbert T. Thomas- Police Inspector, Author, Naturalist and his children who gave their lives as the first Jamaicans to serve with honers in WW-1. I will pass on any info, your office may want on the historic facts on this subject free of cost. | 7/19/2010 |
| Moni Dexter | Being a Jamaican and having read your article I believe you need to do a little more indepth research. Jamaicans do shop for ground provision at markets but our regular everyday household items are purchased in a supermarket of the same caliber as any 1st world country. The concept of carrying baskets on our our heads is something almost outdated but to some extent is practiced in a few rural areas of the country. | 5/20/2010 |
| allison | these people are awsome they have everything I LOVE JAMAICA | 5/1/2010 |
| Alexa | Awsome page gave me everything i needed! | 4/9/2010 |

| Izzy-E | it is very educational. it also very interesting to learn about Jamaicans. | 9/21/2009 |
| Anna Perkins | This piece is filled with numerous inaccuracies about Jamaican and Jamaican culture. For example, discussion of dress as being conservative . "Jamaicans do not wear "colorful robes which are draped over soft linen underneath". Ridiculous! Has the writer read anything proper about Jamaica or even visited the country? | 8/27/2009 |
| Karol | This wetsite is very very good I love it you understand and see and learn about the real jamaican history | 8/6/2009 |
| SALLY JOE | NEED MORE ART INFORMATION | 6/9/2009 |
| jamaican | "Due in part to its strong English influence, Jamaicans are modest and conservative dressers. The display of skin is frowned upon generally. The people in Jamaica wear colorful robes which are draped over soft linen underneath. They wear this typical clothing along with hats which match their robes. " You got that part of your information wrong the people in jamaica do not wear robes. We wear normally clothes like american's. So i think you should correct that part of your article. It makes no sense to have the wrong information up. Its not useful. And i should know since i'm a jamaican |
5/17/2009 |
| tierra | can you show me the jamaica holidays | 5/15/2009 |
| Precious | Are you serious? They carry the food in baskets on top of their heads ... Please take a trip to JA before you write more nonsense. | 3/15/2009 |

| lammie | Listen, who ever wrote this has obviously never even been to Jamaica. Our favourite sport is polo? "The people in Jamaica wear colorful robes which are draped over soft linen underneath?"... are you kidding? hahahaha...DWL... no sah! Hehehehe! | 10/27/2008 |
| Heather | I'm a jamaican, not all the information in this article is correct. Especially the part where it says " All Jamaicans wear long tradiotnal robes" not true i have never worn a robe in my life and certainly never will! | 6/27/2008 |
