ep Video games have benefits but once you've played for a dozen of years and thousands of games, your brain has built a database of all the pattern used there meaning games became very boring.

Sports bring all the benefits you talk about plus real sociability, not virtual one.

I must object on the positive effects too as stated video-games are used to simulate army scenario and of all those war based games we can really say they produce a military endoctrination.

But hey, I've programming experience, thousands of games played and so I've a not so typical point of view.

Last but not least, I've played several dozens of games on DS and PSP and find the vast majority lacking any challenge beeing just too easy and cuddling the gamers ego.

That's not great games as games have to be hard to be good!
