| felicia | I am an Adults with ADHD and in the late 80'people looked at a child with a learning disability as though they weren't applying their selves or the were just being lazy. Well their wrong, I am a single mother that was pleaded with that mentality and I kept me stuck and with no confidence in myself. When you have four children to take care of, you make people know who you are and you may even have to shout louder for your dreams but you do that because you know its not going to be the same way a person with no learning disability. Just saying things are harder. The struggle is worth it for me because it has made me a stronger person. So much that my words for t he day is walk by faith and not by cite... |

| Judy Steirner | This information is so useful for many reasons. I am 45 and I too had learning difficulties. Mine was attention disorder. There is nothing worse than doing things on impuse only to later suffer the consequences and put blame elsewhere. In my case, I would toss in my job if I couldnt explain what was bothering me. Then I wouldnt remember doing it, because the impluse act was something I had no control over at the time. It takes article like these to really help a person understand why things turn out the way they do. Thank you. | 1/10/2011 |
