Heartworm Disease in Dogs : Diagnosis and Treatment

Heartworms are a leading cause of lung and heart disease in dogs and dogs are dying of this disease every day. Heartworm disease is caused by the parasite, Dirofilaria immitis. It is transmitted by mosquitoes and has been found in every state in the US.

Karen The information posted was very helpful for me. I'm treating a rescue Cocker Spaniel and she's 10 days into her treatment and has now started coughing and shaking alot so I'm looking to see when and if her signs are "normal"
