On the subject of teen pregnancy, teens tend to live for the moment and don't think that anything unexpected like pregnancy will happen to them. The truth is, if you are having unprotected sex, you are taking an enormous risk... one that will affect more than just your own life. It is selfish and reckless. Bottom line, don't have sex unless you are ready to be a parent because even if you use protection, it is never 100%. AND if you think you are ready to be a parent, are you ready to do it alone?.. because chances are your partner will find it easier to run than you will. Abortion is a selfish solution full of regret. Think ahead, be responsible, say no until you truly want a baby with your partner. It's hard to do it alone. ROB I believe that mtv has been making the teen pregnancy number go up more with the shows called "teen mom" and "16 and pregnant". Most of the girls want to get pregnant so they could write a letter to mtv to see if they could be on the next "16 and pregnant". They read and see that these girls are famous and they get paid pretty good money for every show. I work with high risk youth in the Los Angles area. In our school we have 14 teen parents. The kids see sex as something fun to do, like playing freeze tag but it is more serious than they think, I believe that teenagers act on impulse, they do not think of the consequences in the moment. 2/9/2011

Teens are responsible enough to have a child...
Even if you say you are mature & know what you are doing...
But do you know what a pregancy can do to your body if your body has fully developed?
Before you lay down and have sex...
Think about your dreams as a teenager and what your life could be like...
Because once your baby is here...
YOUR DREAMS ARE GONE...
Now do not get me wrong...
You can chase them once your child is older...
But if you wolud have prevented it in the begining...
Your dreams would have came first.
