The Deal with China and Falun Gong - And What it means for the Free Tibet Movement

Frankly speaking, we do not know much about China, well, except for maybe Jackie Chan. That does not mean that we do not have the inclination to know about China, it only means that China does not want people to know much about the country, how it works, what happens inside China.

Roy Agreed... but this is just the case of the greater bad eclipsing the lesser bad. As far ast the nitty gritties of the religion are concerned, they can and always will be discussed... and of course, then comes the thing about people having their own decisions. But when you read about the various horror stories of China torturing Falun Gong members (particularly women), you will turn a Nelson's eye to the happenings inside Falun Gong. 5/10/2008
Sean Ryan I agree with the fact that people should have the freedom of choosing their religion or belief, no matter how idiotic or morally wrong it is or it may seem.

in regarding to Falun Gong, practice chi gong as a means of work out and relaxation in itself is a good thing, however, it has become heavily politically involved, far more than it really should. As a religion/practice, i don't have anything against besides the fact that it forbid its practicianers to use medicin when they are sick; however the political motivation is what I think is wrong. because religion and politics should not mix, or else it does not have any difference to Communism that they claim who are killing them.

just my 2 cents
