i AM ALSO A MOTHER OF A DAUGHTER THAT CUTS. WHEN THE POLICE FOUND HER AT SCHOOL AFTER CUTTING ON A PARTICULAR DAY SHE WAS ADMITTED TO THE CHILDRENS PSYCHIATRIC UNIT FOR THREE MONTHS. THESE PLACES HELP YOUNG TEENAGERS WORK OUT OTHER WAYS TO DEAL WITH DAY TO DAY STRESSES. IT HAS BEEN SUCH A HARD PAST FEW MONTHS TO SEE MY DAUGHTER GO THROUGH ALL THIS PAIN. I CAN ALSO HEAR YOUR PAIN, PLEASE TALK TO YOUR MOTHER AND ASK FOR HELP MY DAUGHTER DID . I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK IN THE FUTURE. YOU MIGHT NOT THINK SO NOW BUT ONEDAY YOU WILL BE A PROUD MOTHER OF YOUR OWN LITTLE PERSON. YOU FAMILY AND FREINDS LOVE YOU VERY MUCH YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO THEM. |

This is fricken amazing writing....... I know how you feel...... I cut to.... My cuts just don't cut the skin they go down in cut my veins I have to stop before its to late.... I relate to your poem so much its not even funny... |

Jess,
I'm the mother of a son who cut himself. I got him help as soon as I knew. He was hospitalized for 3 or 4 days and never held it against me. I believe it was his cry for help. He has since joined the U.S. Marines, but I still worry about him. I stumbled upon your poem, and it made me cry. Please, please, please, talk to someone - your parent(s), a friend, a teacher - ANYBODY. Please don't cut yourself anymore. Your poem is proof that you're also crying out for help. There is so much help available and if I can help you, please reply to this comment. I'm sure many people love you and I REALLY DO CARE what happens to you. |
