Some even power towns with the methane produced through decomposition. There are more trees now than in 1920. Trees are specifically planted for milling. Recycling costs more than dumping in landfills. It's roughly $50 a ton for landfill usage, compared to $150 average for recycling materials. Recycling aluminum is the only recycling process cheaper than making new aluminum from bauxite ore. Creating Make-Work jobs is useless. The money could be better spent elsewhere. Recycling costs Americans $8 billion in taxpayers money from subsidies used to pay for recycling. Greenhouse gases are 95% water vapor. We put less than 1% of gas emissions into the air. This helps in saving our natural resources to a great extent. For example, once an old newspaper is recycled we do not need to use the resource of another tree to produce new paper products. Economic Benefits Similar to energy and natural resource, recycling also helps in saving a lot of expense, demanded for the production of new products from ‘virgin’ materials.
