Dan O R A fine article in general. However it should mention the Irish sports of hurling and Gaelic football; hurling is the worlds oldest field sports and has a history that spans over 2000 years. In my opinion it is the most beautiful and skillful game in the world and a cornerstone of Irish culture. You might also note that the Irish language was the first of the vernacular European languages to be written and Irish comprises the third largest corpus of early European literature after Greek and Latin. As regards industry you might note that Ireland is the largest net exporter of pharmaceuticals in the world; the second largest net exporter of Tech and IT services. 5/18/2011
