sue we are in our50s and have sid the pure american red nose pitbull
he is 6 and we have never had any issues of bad behaviour from him[except eating kids car seats]!
in new zealand this breed is feared and i cannot understand this

suzanne i love pitbulls... i myself own one and she is very loyal loving..she is wonerful to my 2 boys my 7yr old and my 19mo old..its so true pitbulls are very loyal,intelligent,and loving. its the media and ppl out there that give them a bad reputation..the media just makes things seem alot worse then what they realy are..just to make their stories thats all...i would like to see more information on these wonderful animals ppl need to be more educated about these animals so that the fear,hype and bad reputation can be so to speak (laid to rest.) plz ppl respect and love these animals they dont deserve this...with much love to pitbulls... 3/18/2011
dan i have a german shepherd and my pit doenot like it near me wife or kids how do i stop her from being so jealous she just started doing this we have had her since she was 4 mths old plays fine with other dog but goes after the other dog some times she has done this twice now 2/21/2011

Regina M I had red nose mixed with alligator pit and he was so good if I was feeling bad or crying he would come and set infront of me and lay his head on my chest and cry to. I am 60 years old and he woould place his body right tight to my leg to keep me from falling. The people i got my from had feed him gun powder and raw meat but he had a severe ear infecastion and had to have surgery then thy found he had a thyoid condition and started him on meds then he turned and started to kill other animals so I had to put him down I loved him and still do 9/16/2010

Brown a retiree from the military after 24 years, I loved your article, and it is on point thank you for dispelling alot of myths,, I have to right now pay 1500 etc because I have a rednose pittbull and she is so sweet,, I got her when she was 5 weeks old and this is 2010. daddys girl i love my pitbull seirra she is a beautiful rednose pitbull we got her from a friend who got her from a shelter for her birthday but is having problems so she gave her to us she is very friendly with everyone and never barks 4/24/2010

sammantha1111 why do pitballs dominate people? is that them showing there the boss of u? my dog growls at my family. i came 2 close and she bit me on my ear. why did she do dat? we was almost going 2 get her taken 2 da pet recieving center. i was so sad i cried. my mom said they have 2 put her 2 sleep, but she changed her mind. 11/20/2009

Cheryl We just had to do the hardest thing in our lives .We had to put our little Bella rednose pitbull down. She VICIOUSLY attacked 4 x against our baby kane 11 year old pitbull for no reason. We adopted Bella from an abusive home October 2008.Got her fixed and shots at that time . She was my baby and beautiful . She was 2 years old and was the most loving to us but not to baby Kane . Im feeling so guilty about killing her. any comments feel free . 7/28/2009
