Norma Lewis I used to sleepwalk as a child and also sleep talk, i now suffer from high anxiety and insomnia and am 65 yrs old. this has been a problem for most of my life. what is the best way to help with this problem, I took ambien for over 12 years and just finished going through a terrible withdrawal I had to stop this med because I was nauseous most of the time.I now take a time release anti anxiety med for the daytime and a different sleep med. I would just love to feel sleepy and go to bed like most people, without all this mess and fall asleep. 7/11/2009
Kim I find this article very helpful. My dad sleep walks all the time. But he does more then sleep walks, he has taken the car out as far as we know. As well as every night he eats in his sleep. This is bad because he recently broke his ribs, and he is always waking up in pain because of what he is doing in his sleep. We went to our family doctor and he said he didn't know much about sleep walking so this has helped. Thanks. 7/10/2009
