Amylouise Adira So much about this article is not factual and not backed by anything at all, that it is obvious that even a point by point argument could not reason with the flawed mentality that wrote it. However, one strikingly wrong inaccuracy is in the lie that Senator Obama has backed off a previous commitment. Reading the commitment shows that it starts when he is the nominee. Unless McCain knows something that Clinton and Obama don't, it's not even an issue until Obama IS the nominee. That's first. Second, is that he committed to reaching an agreement to use public funds in a way that is fair. That shows his sound judgment, like he did with Iraq, to foresee underhand dealings from opponents who, themselves, would only use public funding, but would use and encourage swift boating. He was so right on this, as evidenced by Clinton employing such tactics now with her 527 group. No doubt McCain would take advantage of similar Republican ploys and that is what Obama predicted when he wrote his commitment last year to include wanting an agreement about funding that would include ALL campaign tactics. It is further evidence that he uses sound judgment to see what is coming and that he is prepared for the same old Washington games. 2/22/2008
