Rachel Iloved these ideas! I do homemade gifts too being a poor college student and I've done sweet as well as dirty gifts. One of my boyfriend's favorites was a hand painted jar with 365 reasons why I love him, from super romantic to goofy. I've also made a coupon book, a dirty scrapbook, a calendar with real or made up events every day(pie day, kiss under a tree day, lay in bed and watch movies day), and a kids book telling how we met. I'm no artist by any means, and my boyfriend isn't a hopeless romantic, but he's enjoyed most of these so much that I like to keep giving him things that aren't just things. My boyfriend and I do handmade gifts, because its so much more personalized than paying someone to mass-produce such gifts.

One of my favourites was a plain puzzle from a craft store, which I wrote a personal message on, and did a bit of drawing on, then boxed it up for him. He loves puzzles, and really enjoyed piecing together my message.		 12/12/2009
