Merra of Phils. Mary Tudor wasn't the daughter of Lady Jane Seymour. She was the daughter of the first wife of King Henry VIII, the Lady Katherine of Aragon. Lady Jane Seymour has only one child, his son, King Edward VI. She died not long after the birth of the prince. This is the truth, of that I'm sure. 4/29/2011

Somebody Elizabeth is mean, ungrateful, intolerant, vain and unjust. She was all of these at one time or another but she is also intelligent, courageous, loyal and magnificent. 1/14/2011
Sharon Lauer I found the facts contained herein to be both informative as well as entertaining, as I am a "huge fan" of Queen Elizabeth I. However, I found an error in your statement where you named Jane Seymour as mother of Mary. Mary's mother was actually Katherine of Aragon. 1/9/2011

history grad Mary was not the daughter of Jane Seymour. She was the daughter of Henry VII and Catharine of Aragon. Edward was the son of Jane Seymour. Please double check your information before posting something which is supposed to be accurate. 9/9/2010
Kimberly There is a mistake in the article. In the sentence below (from the article) it says that Mary Tudor is Jane Seymour's daughter when that is not true.

"At that time, Elizabeth was third in line to the throne, the first being Edward, and the second, Mary Tudor, her half sister, the daughter of Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII."

The mistake is that Mary Tudor is not the daughter of Jane Seymour but rather Catherine of Aragon, Henry the 8th first wife.
8/26/2010
mary Mary (half sister of Elizabeth) was the daughter of Henry and Catherine of Aragon, not Jane Seymore. Jane was the mother of Edward. 8/19/2010

Alice Philpott There is a glaring mistake in the third paragraph of this article. It states that Mary Tudor was the daughter of Jane Seymour. Mary's mother was Catherine of Aragon and Jane was the mother of Edward YI. 5/19/2010
RBiller In the third paragraph Mary Tudor is stated as being the daughter of Jane Seymour, but she was actually the daughter of Katherine, King Henry VIII first wife. 5/11/2010

Professor Ludwi Hi, fellow bloggers. I just wanted to say to the girl named "ME" how she failed her report when all of the information she needed was right here. I mean how could she have failed it? That makes no sense to me. I mean I am a professor at Princeton University and I teach a class on all of the great monarchies, and all of this knowledgable information is correct. And that means that she should have gotten a perfect A+ on her paper. I need a word with that teacher of hers, because she doesn't know what she's talking about. Ugh, high school teachers these days. 1/25/2009
Janet I think Mary Tudor was the daughter of Catherine, not Jane. Yes? 1/13/2009
