Ana. Shania I know that one of the oldest species of roses is Persian; it is still used to this day for various reason in Persia/ Iran. Persian roses have a very strong scent like no other and its essence is sold throughout Iran. Thank you, for the article. I would like to learn more about Persian roses. 2/2/2010
