Silvia I am a student that yesterday did this text for my English exam.
When I read the text, some sentences were untranslatable but I think: 'Silvia, you don't speak english very well, this is your exam and it is impossible that there are a mistakes!'.
But, unfortunately, I wasn't right because the Italian Minister chose an article where the mother tongue of owner is German and not English!
I think that Tinkie & Johan have had a good thing for the industry of tourism because he built this guest house in an unknow country.
I hope that what is happened both the first and the last time!
Thanks to the Italian Minister...all the best for Tinkie, Johan and for the students that, as I do, made this text!

Adrienne I suppose you know that today, this very article was used in the Italian national state secondary school final exams as one of the two choices of text for the English exam (Istituto Tecnico per il Turismo). Unfortunately it is full of mistakes as far as English is concerned, and I can't imagine why it was chosen, considering you can't be English! Poor students. Anyway, it was a nice article and this is in no way a criticism of you, but of the Italian Minister who chose this text for a national English exam. Best wishes. 6/19/2008
