Im anemic and i sleep alot. I atleast take a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon then after when i go to bed at night i need atleast another 10 or more hours. Sometimes i can even sleep 4 most of the day. During my sleep can be woken up several times even do lil activities bt ill still find my way to sleep. I dont know if its a sickness or not. Al i know is dat im not lazy i partake in sports in very active. Bt its not those activities that make me wana sleep. I guess i love sleeping its a hobby of mine |

This is a sentence? This is English?
"These are some of the temporary causes that can be got rid of with a little will power and determination or probably with the change of phase but there are some causes, which are to be dealt with clinically and are not as simple as the previous ones." |

It is exercise, not weight reduction, that helps with sleep apnea. Those who remain fat while increasing exercise get the benefits as well. Please keep the two issues (weight and fitness) separate, as that is what the medical literature suggests. It doesn't help to have people focus on weight reduction when there is not a single study in all the medical literature showing that significant long term weight reduction is possible for the average person. |

I've always needed 10-12 hours a night as far back as i can remember. I used to fall asleep in school when i didn't get enough sleep. I'm not stressed at all. I don't believe it is lack of self discipline. If i don't get 10-12 hours a night, i feel nauseated, have a bad headache, can't concentrate and have a hard time staying a wake. I've had my thyroid checked and it is normal. I had my b12 level checked and it was on the lower side of normal. I feel like i'm sleeping my life away. I want to sleep less, but can't. |

I think you should correct the grammatical errors. Additionally the article does not go far enough with an answer/ |

No help at all. I am not sleeping well at night and haven't for years due to health problems, but now I am sleeping during the day at the drop of a hat and getting worried about it and this answered nothing for me. I would like to know where I could look to find out more? |

did your doctor check your thyroid gland because alot of times they over look that .its been proven and thats what happened to me i went thrue a few doctors till one of them checked my thyroid and tsh levels to find out that was the problem. Now im back on my feet to 7-8 hours of sleep and feelin fine I used to be on sleep marathons my 3 days off would be dedicated to straight sleep I didnt even want to eat just sleep it felt so good.Next time ask your doc if he checks your thyroid or if he would for you its a simple blood test.Im so happy to be doin the things I love finally.Good luck and best of health.thyroid also can cause virtago and many other symptoms like low tolorence to cold/hot ,thinning and loss of hair, depression, anxiety, major weight gain and it wont come off by excercising.Just look up "thyroid problems" or "symptoms of" in your serch column it will give some ideas. |

I think that the discipline statement is to simplistic. Factors such as whether someone is a night owl of a day lark and how social pressures such as work and family conflict with this definitely come into play. |

I have experienced an extreme case of vertigo and still haven't recovered completely after 5 months. I have a tendency to sleep excessively - around the clock at night, get up a few hours and need to sleep at least 4 hours in the afternoon. Are these two problems connected? |
