Tracy Hall Jr Conservatives are getting wise to the McHuck tag team. Huckabee is not running for president, but for McCain's VP. Can an angry, cussing, "straight talking" codger really unite our country in these critical times? And do we really want a clone of Jimmy Carter a heartbeat away from the presidency?

McCain boasts of his ability to reach across the isle, but he doesn't reach -- he trots. Romney will reach but hold his ground, and smartly and convincingly persuade the other side do do the right thing. His Massachusetts health care plan (which he wisely will not impose on the nation as a one-size-fits-all solution) speaks of his ability to identify key problems and bring together opposing parties for a solution.

Romney has the intelligence, the experience, the personal energy, the people skills, and the the character so desperately needed at this time.
