Ava M. George I am not sure where Ms. Pakhare is researching her information, but a medical transcriptionist is NOT a transcriber. A transcriber is a machine used to playback recorded voice.

Transcribed documents are not reviewed by a "proof reader." Medical transcriptionists are medical language professionals who do not need a level of oversight usually reserved for the uneducated.

Finally, information stored in a voicewave file is not sent to an off shore company. Most US dictated records are transcribed in the United States. Only a very small sector off shores US transcription due to HIPAA restrictions and past problems with the threat of confidential patient information being released over the internet. Perhaps Ms. Pakhare should investigate the website ahdionline.org for a clear understanding of her subject matter.
