| Nancy Babin | why is it that' on the east coast they spell boudreaux or any cajun last name with a X at the end of it , is spelled with an U like boudreau ? | 1/29/2012 |
| Vena Fox | I'm an Acadian, from NS. I ADORE Cajun Culture and believe the people should be proud of their heritage and who they are. The music, food, hospitality and 'joie de vivre' is wonderful. It hurts me to read that these people are ashamed of who they are, this shame is prevalent in the Maritimes as well. The shame should lie with an American culture that imposes a shallow version of success that doesn't sustain or feed a persons soul. Such as how much education one can afford to achieve. How much money one earns and how many material objects one acquires. Success to me is to be kind, helpful, tolerant of other cultures, to be hospitable, to share what one has with friends, neighbours, relatives. To be a truly successful person one must have heart and know how to celebrate life in bad financial times as well as good ones. To be able to relax, let go and be oneself. To express oneself freely, dance and enjoy uplifting, fun music without being self-concious and welcoming those around you to do the same... The way of life expressed above is the epitome of class and being a 'classy' person. Far from what current American culture would surmise to be 'classy.' |

| Andrew Hebert | The article is interesting, but shows alot of arrogance on the part of the author. The constant references to the ignorance and lack of education of the Acadian people were dissapointing. It wasn't the education they were refusing to accept, it was the indoctrination into a culture in which they saw no use. | 12/8/2009 |

| Nada | It to long to read | 10/5/2009 |
| J. Granier | This is poorly researched. The cultural opinions are only opinions. So different from what I experianced within my own cajun family. | 9/24/2009 |
