| li13 | Um... no. They don't sting. They don't even bite. Also, L. saccharina is just one species of silverfish (silverfish belong to the order Thysanura.) | 1/30/2012 |
| Michelle Newman | I want to know how you get them? I don't know how and why they are in my apt. Do they go on sticky close or where its wet and warm ? | 7/10/2011 |

| dee | sliverfish found on a fully tiled kitchen floor with no cracks and always warm as the underfloor heating is always switched on. So how are the silverfish being found in this area of the house only? |

| Theresa | Very interesting, ive recently found three of these little guys in my upstairs bathroom, occasionally one is visible, hiding in little cracks that I cant access. They are not doing any damage in my bathroom as far as I can tell. And so I am allowing them to stay, besides, Theyve been on this earth 300 million years, who am I to decide where they can and cannot live? Unless I SEE an infestation and they start eating at my books, then I dont have a problem with them hiding away in the corners of my attic and bathroom. GO BUGS! :) | 2/27/2010 |
