My husband, had to tell me to stop,I didn't realize! but an no way, do I feel addicited to med. i'm addicted to losing weight & getting in shape. I could lose weight w/out it, it would just take ALOT longer! 3/29/2009
mhull That the accusations against phentermine are total bunk. If you want an accurate assessment of phentermine, talk to people who have taken it on and off for several years-you may be very surprised. 4/15/2008
cgarcia I certainly agree with freindofphen, the only problem I see with Phentermine is the reluctance to prescribe it to so many people who need it. I wish some one would have told me about it 25 years when I began to gain weight. If I had known about this then it may have helped me to not become morbidly obese. There are hundreds of drugs out there that are more addicting and have worse side effects and doctors orescribe those everyday without hesitation. 3/15/2008
cgarcia Your article on Phentermine is not responsible. Phentermine is a single drug . Phen-Fen is a combination of two drugs. The side effects and dangers two these are entirely different if one is aken or a combination is taken. The combination of phen-fen is not longer prescribed. 3/15/2008
friendofphen I think this article is the biggest bunch of "whooye" I have read in a long time. As the author of this article ever taken phentermine? Do your research first. Phentermine doesn't cause heart valve issues. When Phentermine was part of the Phen-Fen it got an unfair rap. The drug has been on the market for at least 35 years. I know people who have taken it on and off for weight loss and maintenance, and their blood pressure is fine, they are probably a lot healthier because they aren't obese, and don't suffer from any obesity related illnesses. And if you read the chemical make-up of phentermine, it is NOT an amphetamine-it is an amphetamine-like substance. That is why you can take a drug test and phentermine will not show up. People who have never used phentermine just need to mind their own business and quit with all the degoratory remarks. 2/25/2008
