Arguments Against Animal Testing

There are no real alternatives to animal experimentation, as alternatives are those options that arise in order to replace something of somewhat the same worth, and there is nothing else in the world that is quite as useless, harmful and misleading as animal experimentation. This is why animal rights activists all over the world should start declining medicines that have been tested on animals.

I beleive animal testing is cruel and it is unnessary to do because animals dont deserve to be experiments. if animals do why dont we do that kind of testing on humans. misty1994 i think thats its wrong. these animals arent born asking to have this done to them. its not right we dont just take random humans and put them in a lab and test thousands of different things on them just to find a cure for some people that were irresponsible and got disease such as aids. i understand people want to find cures for cancer and other serios disease but thats not reason to take the lives of innocent animals. and they say thats its okay cause animals dont feel the same way we feel and dont experience pain and emotion like we do but their wrong animals are just like us on the inside. so STOP ANIMAL ABUSE! 11/24/2009

Yeta1man omg its not like scientist are cruelly torturing animals. Only small fractions of them are even harmed. Polio, rabies,dypheria, syphilis, small pox and other diseases have been lessened due to animal experimentation. If it wasnt for animal experimentation cures would take decades longer or not even found. Stephanie Rinco I am strongly against animal testing. Its a waste of time and does no good. Scientists have figured other ways to test things than testing it on animals. Why test on animals? Its cruel. Mean, VISIOUS! I am STRONGLY against it. These are creatures of the lord that were messing up. Have respect please. I mean the author gives us so many examples of unsuccessful experiments that have been conducted and still are being conducted. someone speacil animal testing helped save my life i had late stage cancer and had to go to japan to hope and pray i would survive as you can tell i obviously survived and i am grateful for it i can actually see my grandchildren grow up if i wasent alive they wouldnt know me or know i existed so animal testing can be bad such as trying to make a longer lasting perfume or trying to make a shampoo that is tear free or making a treatment they know wont work 3/12/2009

unknown i totally dissagree on animal testing. i hope whoever readsthis will be convinced.
inocent animals are harmed for our matiarialistic thngs, half the things we test on, we dont need to test on animals (ie. cosmetics, household cleaning prouducts, and personal ccare.) different types of prouducts results very on different species. some prouducuts could be harmful to animals but not human. were not the same.
animals are compainions. when loss of faamily/ friends people get a pet to keep them company. if your blind people get animals to lead them with their keen scence of smell, we are wasting that on testing.
in a short period of time species that are often tested on (ie rodents such as rabbits rats mice guinnea pigs and much more) could end up extinct.
there are many more reasons why i am against animal testing but i cant name them all.
read lables twice, and think ofyour little pet bunny or guinnea pig at home and picture them dying from our testing for matirialistic things.		 2/19/2009

Jessica Everett Animal Testing is Horrible, Animals are just like humans but different. It's just like watching a human being tested.

I am doing a report on animal testing and these people burn animals alive and when they tested a medicine called mitoxantrone on beagle Mitoxantrone was developed in the hope of providing an anti-cancer treatment without side effects on the heart. In experiments on beagles, the drug apeared safe, but in clinical practie, cardiac toxicity proved to be a major problem with several people dying of heart failure.
