barb can i get pregnant afer a uterine ablation at age 51. what are the chances of concieving. 11/9/2009
Lisa M I had the procedure done right in the doctor's office almost a year ago. It wasn't too bad, but he had problems completly numbing me, therefore there were a few seconds of intense pain. However, after the discharge period was over (about 2 weeks for me), it has been a dream. I still get cramps, but no period. However, each month the cramps are less and less. I highly recommend the proceudre instead of full surgery. 10/2/2009
Jamie Once this is done. Are periods lessened in length and amount or absent completely? Can the lining regrow? Does this make the woman sterile? 7/15/2009
Tess T I had an ablation in March and I have been continuing to have periods. They weren't bad but the last one lasted 11 days of light bleeding but I am up to tampons now. Everyone is telling me it didn't work. I got an IUD also afterwards and that has not help either. 8/18/2008
Mrs. "B" I'm trying to decide wether to have uterine ablation or vaginal hysterectomy.Uterine Ablation sounds great, due to short time being off from work, but I'm afraid of the risks.Hysterectomy sounds safe, but will need to be off from work at least 6wks. 2/13/2008
missy I had a uterine ablation and have lost my libido...I have not seen the Dr. since the surgery followup but I have little desire for sex anymore
