lucy my mother's doctor states that anything over 100 is very high and she should stop eating sweets. I work in health care and our doctor's allow glucose levels as normal up to 400. which I think is too high. so who is right? 6/1/2011

raven 4 months ago my doctor removed me from oral meds to treat type 2 to insulin to treat type 1 We are both in close contact.I see my doctor every three months for a A1C which my levels started out at 13.9 now its down to 7.1 which tells me my doctors treatment plan is working along with my diet and daily exercise program i follow..I am having trouble knowing how much food to consume with dosing.. Thus meaning i stick my fingers alot for now.. I also suffer from from nuropathy pain quite often and taking drugs on a daily bases to control it..
Any one with risk factors.. family history needs to have there blood sugar tested at least twice a year..		 9/17/2009

Richard my understanding was that a blood suger under 200 was good now its 150,when was this droped to 150.In the med books it still tells you under 200 ? 6/1/2008
