Copperhead Snakes

Andrew Bellefonte rose from the bushes and offered us a ribbon-like, writhing snake. Scrawny hands passed over the thin, coiling young Copperhead. With awe-struck reverence, my two youngest sons handled the snake carefully. I shuddered at the malevolent gleam emanating from its eyes. Then Bellefonte quickly returned it to the bush in this godforsaken stretch of the National Forest we were visiting. I breathed a sigh of relief.

Troy B On 8-11-08 a copperhead about a foot and a half in length had bitten my dog (a syberian husky) on the face and it swelled severly and made her kind of sick. She weighed about 45 lbs. and around a year and a half old. I searched the net to see if there was any home remedies because the snake bite happened on a monday after all the vets were closed and I couldnt find any vets to take house calls. unfortunely i couldnt find anything on the net, if anyone has any sugestions about dog bites please post them. 8/11/2008
