The Joy Of Silver Labrador Puppies

Once someone has become interested in the silver Labrador, however, a little bit of research will show them that the animal is very beautiful and loving, much like the other types of Labradors. Breeders do not often advertise these animals, but sooner or later a breeder of Labradors will end up with a silver Labrador, and they are available for sale to loving homes that will take good care of them.

Pup Pet As with any dog breeds they all come from different dog types in their backgrounds. Labradors are no different and some throw-backs occur in this breed as it does in all other breeds of dog. Some attributes that are hard for pedigree breeders to control is dog color. Rotties have trouble when white gets into the breed but is virtually impossible to remove completely. The fact that a dog shows a different color type than people are used to does not mean it is any less aa pedigree.

Silver coloring showing itself in Labradors does not for one minute suggest the Labrador in question is anything but a pedigree Labrador. Nor does this promote puppy mils. Seriously pedigrees are only mongrels that have been inbred long enough to call them a pedigree. Please get your facts correct before badmouthing an article on Buzzle		 9/15/2009
S.R.Baron Silver in a "Lab" is actually a dilute version of chocolate. The gene for dilution comes from Weimereiners being bred into the line at some point. So - Labs sold as silver are not in fact pure bred Labs - despite what their "papers"may say. Run from breeders selling Silver Labs. 5/18/2009
Samantha R. There is no such thing as a Silver Labrador Retriever. Their bloodlines are tainted as they are truly a mixed breed (weimaraner bred to a labrador retriever). Promoting Silver Labs is promoting puppy mills and back-yard-breeders. There are only three colours for labs: black, yellow and chocolate. End of story. So please take this misinformed article down.
