| Michael | Clearly this person is making this up as he goes along. He has no idea how LCD projectors work. "As the halogen bulb heats up, the crystals melt..." Please! Completely false and so far wrong it is laughable. Another example, "On hitting the screen, the pixel breaks down into its color component that is red, blue or green." This guy is a complete phony. Why does he publish this stuff? | 11/28/2010 |

| KJ | I have never read a more inaccurate article than this one. quote: "...the case of the LCD Projector the heat from the halogen bulb converts the crystal into a liquid." eeeh, where on earth did you get that information? |

| E.T. | This article is grossly inaccurate and misleading. It would be best to ignore any of the information in this article. Why would you go to the bother of creating a liquid crystal, which is an anisotropic material, only to melt it - turning it into an isotropic material? That makes no sense! Even a simple search on Wikipedia shows that this article is completely wrong! |

| student | This was great. I was looking for a class project, and it helped me answer how it worked, and you were right, and i got it right. Thank you, this website is awsome. | 4/15/2008 |
| NJN | Finally information EXPLAINING how a LCD works and what it is. Everywhere else I looked only gave me models to purchase. QUESTION: what is the difference between the LCD and a digital projector? I am trying to decide what to use -- purchase. And, before I do, I want to become an informed consumer so I evaluate the models and information when I go to purchase |
