As far as apartment living goes, you may want to try hang traps from your window, depending on how much room you have from the enighbour's window below.
Also something to consider is fly paper. Use double-sided carpet tape and stick the fly paper below you window sill. Anything flying around the window frame is bound to get stuck to it sooner or later.
Just remember to use the buddy system so you don't fall to your death!

I've made wasp traps in the past from a 2l pop bottle and it works quite well. I usually fill the bottom (about 2 " deep) with either cola or root-beer and forego putting any meat in it. Sometimes, depending on the time of year, I may add more sugar to the liquid to attract bigger numbers.
I've observed that wasps will fly around it, seemingly curious. Eventually, they will go inside and then crawl down the side and start to drink the liquid.
When they try to leave, due to wasps flying in zig-zag patterns, they have a very difficult time getting back out and will usually end up tiring themsleves out and fall into the liquid. The sticky liquid then coats their wings, dries, and they eventually lose all strength and drown.
So far this year, I have 3 traps in the backyard that are disgustingly full.
A note of caution: look at the trap very carefully before handling it to throw it out at the end of the season. A wasp that looks like it is inside can very easily be on the outside, just waiting to strike vengence for their lost brother-at-arms.
Good luck! |

This information was of some help. But I live 8 floors up in a high rise and have wasps trying to make nests or get in. Is there an air repellent to ward the wasps away from my windows |
